ii. References to buildings/objects The association owned a τόπος, topos which was situated near the temple (of Isis), delimited north by a peribolos (built by the synagogos), south by the dromos of the temple, west by the komasterion and east by the temple itself (ll. 4-5).

ii. Realty The association owned a topos (l. 4). The enclosing wall (περίβολος, peribolos, l. 4), built by the synagogos Helenos, may have run around some other properties of the association's or it may have been the temple's. If the latter is the case (as is probable), the president of the Esenchebiake synodos had a position of importance within the temple itself too.
